Back in early February, I decided to do a giveaway on my Instagram. Something I don't normally like to do because of the followers who don't stick around and whatnot.
Jessica was the lucky winner of a couples session. We started bouncing ideas of what we would like to do. We had it planned for sometime in May, and we thought to do a big ado with a rented dress and do it up big.
As luck would have it, we had to reschedule due to life getting a little bit crazy for them... and for me. It ended up working out for the best. The marine layer around here was not participating with sunny days for a few weeks but lately, it's eased up a bit. I'm excited that we're getting to shoot those pretty golden hour photos again.
I wasn't really sure if I wanted to use props or not but last minute I decided to pack a canvas to lay down. I brought my thrifted nikon film camera, then I made a stop at Trader Joe's for a bottle of wine and some flowers for the finishing touch. We headed to Shell Beach where we went to a beach that had more pebbles on the beach rather than the sandy beaches we're used to on the central coast. It made for the perfect romantic sunset session.
