Styled shoot at Lyn Oaks

Updated: Sep 2, 2020

So a while back I was hanging out watching my instagram stories as one does when they're laying in bed not going to sleep when I came across the image of a huge rope swing surrounded by beautiful greenery and one of those filters with butterflies flying all around it on the IG of an amazing central coast wedding coordinator.

I thought to myself what a cool shoot that would be so I shot Kirsten a dm and said "okay but imagine doing a shoot releasing real butterflies?!". So then I wondered where do you even get live butterflies? Off to google I went!

Well, it turns out releasing live butterflies is kinda expensive so we nixed the live butterflies but kept planning cause ya girl is on a budget.

We kept talking about it and the idea of a cute boho wedding came up with a wildflower bouquet so I did what I always do when I get an idea. I made a mood-board.

Once the mood-board was made I told Kirsten that I wanted to ask another local vendor if they'd like to join in on the fun. So shot Adrie of Picnic and Petal a message told her what we were thinking and that we would love to have her join us because she puts together the most amazing picnics and tablescapes I've ever laid eyes on.

Now that we were all on board we created a color pallet and started talking about possible dress ideas, set a date and talked about who we wanted to be our bride. We had a few ideas but one model came to mind but I didn't know her and I always feel like such a weirdo reaching out to models for the first time. Lucky for me Kirsten knew her and was able to reach out and the dates worked for her!

So we thought we were set since we had our venue, model, picnic and myself we posted a flyer on our instagram stories looking for a florist and other local vendors who might want to participate. LITTLE DID WE KNOW WE HAD THE HOT TICKET IN TOWN! We got SOOOOOOOOO many vendors who wanted to participate! We ended up with an amazing group who made our idea INCREDIBLE. This whole thing would not have been possible without so many amazing local 805 vendors.

Without further ado, our styled shoot at Lyn Oaks.

Last but certainly not least we have an incredible video provided by Adam Trovao.
